Students around the world have seen their extracurricular opportunities halted due to the current public health situation. This Novus microinternship program places high achieving students in an unpaid project-based 4-6 week remote experience. Partnered with business/tech companies to help students develop professional skills and a deeper understanding of what their desired career looks like.
Why a Microinternship?
|Short-term, professional assignments that are similar to those given to new hires or interns.||Allow students to work remotely on short-term projects while continuing to take courses, live at home, and hold other jobs.|
|Provides an effective way for students to gain professional experiences from a high school to college transition.||Used by companies of all sizes, in all industries, and across all departments including sales, marketing, technology, HR, and finance.|
How it Works
In this microinternship program, selected students will be paired with an employee(s) from one of Novus Club’s partner companies, who will prompt them with a project, host regular check-ins, and organize a concluding showcase presentation.
Through this program, students will have…
- Greater professional communication skills.
- An improved understanding of their desired career path.
- An understanding of the tools utilized in their desired career field.
- New professional experience that they can detail on their resume.
- An expanded professional network.
